DE ANZA COVE AMENDMENT

Fellow board member Kate Spiro and myself recently met at PBTC with Joshua Coyne and Monica Eslamian who represent Councilmember Jennifer Campbell from San Diego City Council District 2. They explained that they are gathering information and offered no updates or new information on the De Anza Cove Amendment. The courts were full with Steve's academy in session and with other players, and they asked how many people use the courts per day. Please write to them to explain how often you use the courts, your enthusiasm for tennis, and that it is worthwhile to keep and improve PBTC. Their emails are JCoyne@sandiego.gov and EEslamian@sandiego.gov. The city council is the highest local agency that will select the final plan for the amendment.

FACILITIES

Lights on courts 1, 2, and 3 have been repaired.  We’re still working with San Diego Parks and Recreation to fix the lower lights on courts 7 and 8.  We’re in continuous contact with city officials to have this addressed, however, some of our infrastructure is susceptible to inclement weather, so we appreciate your patience.
